Austrian burials
This came into my news feed this morning - from the English-language edition of Der Spiegel:
The article was interesting. I particularly enjoyed the joking of Otto, "the Capuchin monks seem to eye him with particular attentiveness during his visits to the crypt -- 'to take measurements for later.'" At 97 years old, he has not lost his sense of humour. I visited the Capuchin Crypt the last time I was in Vienna and was fascinated by the history and artistic details of the coffins. Hopefully they will be open to the public for many years to come.
