Max of Baden very ill

The New York Times reports today that former German Chancellor Prince Max of Baden "is in critical condition" in a hospital in Constance. For the past several months, the prince "has been suffering from arterial disease." Three weeks ago, the Prince broke three ribs in a fall in his studio.
Prince Max's wife, Princess Marie Louise of Cumberland, "is at his bedside, and other family members are expected to arrive shortly.
Prince Max served as Kaiser Wilhelm II's during the final days of his reign.
