The Earl of Harewood, a "great landowner," is "seriously ill, according to an AP dispatch. His children, including his eldest son and heir, Viscount Lascelles, "gathered today at his bedside." Lord Lascelles is married to King George V's only daughter, Princess Mary.
The Earl is 83 years old.
