Olympic medalist Princess Nathalie of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg is in Australia
Princess Nathalie of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg, who won an equestrian bronze medal at the 2008 Summer Games, is visiting Australia.
I hope you can answer this question. The news article headline says "Danish Princess". Is she really a Danish princess? Doesn't her title come from her German father?
Technically, Nathalie is not a princess because there are not titles in Germany, but she is recognized in denmark as HH Princess Nathalie of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg. She is not Princess of Denmark, but she is now a Danish national. She and her sister acquired Danish citizenship a few years ago, which is why she competes for Denmark. The headline is wrong.
