Although Prince Kardam of Bulgaria is no longer in a coma, he remains in critical condition. Coming out of a coma does not necessarily mean that he is able to speak or fully communicate with his family, as Kardam suffered a major brain injury, which will make recovery very, very difficult.

You're right, traumatic brain injuries can be terrible. Even if Kardam is technically out of a coma, recovery, even partially, will be very difficult.
ReplyDeleteI can't help feeling that when brain injuries are so severe, sometimes a kinder fate. for the patient and the family, would be death. Better than living for years in a hospital bed, I think.
