Princess Clementine is depressed

November 4, 1902

The Marquise de Fontenoy writes that Princess Clementine of Belgium "has been living quite alone since the death of her mother," Queen Marie-Henriette.
She has become "subject to melancholia in a pronounced form," and there is talk that the princess has become more determined to enter a convent and become a nun. It is believed that her father, King Leopold II will permit this decision. Clementine is expected to enter the Sacred Heart convent in Brussels, where she will find the "peace of mind," that she has never found in the "bosom of her sadly divided and singularly unhappy family.
