Count of Paris' daughter baptised

October 15, 1934

The infant daughter of the Count and Countess of Paris was baptised today "in an elaborate service at the Manoir d'Anjou." The princess was given the names Helene Astrid Leopoldine, and her sponsors are the Belgian sovereigns, King Leopold III and Queen Astrid.
The Count of Paris is the pretender to the French throne.
Elaborate security was put in place for the baptism.
Family members stood to the right of the altar, and includes the Countess of Paris' parents, Prince and Princess Pierre of Orleans and Braganza and her brothers, Pierre and Jean, and sisters, Marie-Francoise and Therese and the Prince and Princess Murat.
