Alice of Monaco robbed

Paris, August 6, 1904. Princess Alice of Monaco was robbed today of a diadem worth $12,000, other jewels and a sum on money. The former Alice Heine of New Orleans is staying at the Hotel Mercedes.
Princess Alice married Prince Albert I of Monaco on October 30, 1889. They were officially separated in 1902. Alice was previously married to the Duke of Richelieu.
In current values, the diadem was worth about $289,000..

    did the police help princess alice to recover her tiara ? what happened after the robbery ?
