The Sussexes visit Sussex

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited Sussex earlier today with the first stop in Chichester.  A special thank you to one of my Twitter friends,  West Sussex-resident Jen, who uses the Twitter handle Lady Sassington,  who allowed me to use her photos.  She went to Chichester today with her husband, to await the arrival of the the Duke and Duchess, who were making their first visit to the eponymous county.  They visited Chichester, Bognor Regis and Brighton.

Jen and her husband arrived at 8:40 in the morning and positioned themselves across from Edes House, where the Duke and Duchess of Sussex got to see a rare copy of the American Declaration of Independence.   The royal couple arrived at 10:50 for a walkabout that lasted until 11:10.  The royal couple went inside Edes House for a tour, and then left 20 minutes later.

This was the first time that Jen has met a member of the British royal family.

For more details about Jen's awesome day, check out her comments in Hello.   https://www.hellomagazine.com/royalty/2018100363042/meghan-markle-reaction-after-fan-praises-doria-ragland/

So happy for her that she had a most excellent day.  She told me the weather "was cold but sunny, great for October. Only a handful when we arrived but filled up after 9  a.m.."

She presented the couple with a bouquet of flowers and a notebook, and told the Duchess that she loves Meghan's mom, Dora Ragland  ...  and who doesn't love Meghan's mom!!!  She raised a terrific and confident woman.
