Nurse tried to kill Alexis?

One of the latest rumors from St. Petersburg, Russia, concerns the young Tsarevitch Alexis, heir to the Russian throne, according to a dispatch to the Paris-based Petit Journal.

According to this dispatch, which was reported by the New York Times, "Society is agitated over a mysterious drama, which has occurred at Tsarskoe-Selo. It is alleged that a nurse was about to put the infant heir to the Russian throne into a bath of boiling water when the Empress intervened in time to save the child."

The report also states that "all of the domestic servants" in the imperial household have been dismissed.
