Walburga Countess Douglas out of Parliament

Trond Noren Isaksen's blog takes note that Walburga Countess Douglas (Archduchess Walburga of Austria) has lost her seat in the Swedish parliament.

Walburga Habsburg Douglas, who also served as vice-president of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe Parliamentary Assembly, was first elected in 2006.

During a visit to Virginia in November 2012, Walburga suffered a severe stroke and spent several months in a Washington, D.C., hospital.   She has since made a full recovery.

Hasbourgs like politics. Her nephew, Baltasar de Casanova, the marquis of Elche, is in politics in Spain. He is a member of Ciudadanos Party, a Catalan party that is against independence of Catalonia. Baltasar is son of Luis María de Casanova, the Duke of Santangelo, and HRIH the Archduchess Monika of Austria, sister of Walburga.
On the 11th of september, the Archuchess Monika and her husband the duke attended to a political event in Tarragona supporting Catalonia remains in Spain.
