Princely engagement -- sort of.. Perhaps

Andrea Casiraghi, eldest son of HRH The Princess of Hannover (Princess Caroline of Monaco) and the late Stefano Casiraghi, is reported to be engaged to longtime girlfriend Tatiana Santo Domingo.  They have been dating for seven years. According to Italian Vogue, the couple were introduced by Andrea's sister, Charlotte.

Tatiana, 29, is the daughter of the late Julio Mario Santo Domingo, the then second richest man in Colombia.

Andrea is second in line to the Monagesque throne.  Although the Royalty article states that the Palace has confirmed the news, there is nothing on the Monagesque princely family's website.  Dutch royal writer Marc van der Linden based his report on an article on Italian Vogue.

Marlene do you know if the sovereign of Monaco is considered the fount of honors there? I wonder if Albert could ennoble his sister's children, like make them counts or something.

I believe he can. Albert's grandmother, Charlotte, was given princely rank by her grandfather - and her husband was also given new titles.
