Page 6 - the New York Post's famous gossip page - is gossiping (I hate to use the word - reporting -) about Princess Madeleine and Stavros Niarchos. The two apparently "hit it off" at the recent wedding of Prince Nikolaos of Greece's wedding to Tatiana Blatnik.
Princess Madeleine, who called off her wedding to lawyer Jonas Bergström last April, is working in New York City for the World Childhood Foundation. On Tuesday, she was spotted chatting with the "Greek playboy" at Le Bilboquet on Tuesday. According to witnesses, Niarchos made a beeline for the Princess. "Once he saw her, he went straight over. She seemed pretty enthralled.
The princess ended her wedding plans after learning that her fiance had cheated on her with a 21-year-old-student. Niarchos has been linked with Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan.
Niarchos is nearly four years younger than Madeleine. He is the eldest of four children of Philippos Niarchos, himself the eldest son of late Stavros Niarchos and Eugenia Livanos, and Victoria Guinness.
Philippos Niarchos inherited his late father's massive art collection. Victoria is the daughter of the late Patrick Guinness, a member of the Irish brewery family. Patrick's half-brother is the current Aga Khan.
