Marlene,
Can you name any of the people in this photo? And, was Kira of Russia a first cousin to GD Maria's father?
Regards,
Rex.

I do not have a key to the photo. Grand Duke Wladimir (Maria's father) and Kira were siblings.

Isn't that Crown Prince Fredrik of Denmark(King Fredrik IX) next to Grand Duke Wladimir? It looks like his profile - and he was the groom's 1st cousin.

Marlene,
Did this marriage last, and were there any children?

Rex

Yes, Rex, this marriage lasted - LF was the grandson of Kaiser Wilhelm II, succeeded as head of the family after the death of the Crown Prince in 1950. His two eldest sons married commoners so they and their kids ceased to be heirs. Prince Georg Friedrich of Prussia is LF and Kira's grandson - and is the current head of the family

Louis Ferdinand and Kira had seven kids
