September 5, 1905. Despite denials to the contrary, a Spanish dispatch, which was published in the French newspaper, Eclair (and reported by the New York Times), stated that King Alfonso XIII of Spain will marry Princess Ena of Battenberg. The princess is a niece of King Edward VII.
